Every Breakfast has a story or while having one is a good company for those conversations, and sometimes short chit chats. There’s no rule that you can only have breakfast food in the morning. In this case, Filipino breakfast has a lot of dishes that were adapted and influenced from other countries like America, Japanese, and Spain. 7 Eleven Fresh | Bacon with Egg

It has been a while having an actual breakfast or is it a tail end of the hour? Because this would be considered “Brunch” as it’s the bottom half hour of 10 AM and mostly everyone would have an early meal to be ahead of schedule for what’s going to be happening in the next few hours since the hours has been short in the ‘Ber Months.’

With that in mind, 7 Eleven Fresh offers a few breakfast meals and one of them is Bacon with Egg. It’s not what you would expect to be aesthetically what you wanted in the product photo (more of that below), but it does serve you a quick meal when you want to start the day early and would be continuing work during the lunch house just to keep up with the schedule during the shorted days.

Busog Meal | Breakfast Combo

Breakfast meals is a rare thing as something being sold as an instant meal, but 7 Eleven continue to pull punches and experiment trying new things that can be as they say “convenient” to have. They already have the breakfast omelette, but never a combo that features three viands with a rice. They’ve already have this for a while, but rarely everyone would even grab it for lunch as most in their minds this is ‘only for breakfast’ when you can also have it as a lunch meal as an alternative to not just be hindered in thinking this is only good to have in the morning.

Busog Meal | Bopis

In the middle of work sometimes you don’t have the time already to ponder and think what you’ll have for lunch. Most of the times you’ll just end up at 7 Eleven and don’t know what you have in mind, and then decided to grab whatever is in their freezer shelf. Usually, if it’s a Saturday there’s not much going on for the reason they don’t have restocks of your favourite rice meal or the ones you want to try it out.

Sometimes, the ones that are hardly noticed might broaden your perspective in-between being on the go. 7 Eleven’s Busog Meal is mostly unnoticed because of being the food for individuals who are in a rush and have no time to choose the dish they want that so they go and grab something like a Filipino dish called Bopis.

Busog Meal | Jumbo Giniling

“Giniling” in Filipino is called grounded meat, and the meaning doesn’t stop. In Latin countries there’s a version of Giniling, which is called Picadillo that is the soupy version. Giniling is a popular dish in the Philippines as one of the go to viand, but there’s a difference still when the product is produced by 7 Eleven as part of their range of Busog Meal that’s aimed as their ‘filler meal.’

The home cooked version is traditionally known as the dried dish served with diced carrots and potatoes. The Busog Meal version is more economically different as being straight ground meat with little of the aforementioned vegetables. Busog Meal | Jumbo Sisig

“Busog” is a Filipino word that means “Full” or “Stuffed” from all that eating. It can be a word to describe a person that be phrased as, “He looks Busog” or another word for Chunky.

But in more than ways it is named after 7 Eleven’s cheapest range of meals that you can easily buy, and why it was named after this word. Because it will really made you feel stuffed from having a cheap thrill with their meals.

There’s a good and not-so positive way to have a Busog Meal, but when times are tough and you have very limited budget just to survive the day, you have to find creative ways to even have a meal that will get you through it.

7 Eleven Fresh | Bacon Carbonara

Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish originated from Rome, which is made of made with eggs, hard cheese, cured pork, and black pepper. It is the least favourite among the 7 Eleven Fresh pasta range that seemed to be overlooked or just plainly not the most desired meal compared to the other previous pasta offerings they have. It would appear also the way it looked in packaging for the reason of being ignored.

So far there have been good and not-so positive of some of the products. But eventually it would win you over if you haven’t tried it. There’s a lot of diverse dishes that 7 Eleven have for the reason competition is a little bit tight. But at the end of the day it is all about appreciating food and learning from it.
