Wendy's Whattabox | Bacon Mushroom Melt

Wendy’s is the third most popular fast food restaurant in the US, and it has been in the Philippines since the mid-1980s as the franchise used to be owned together with 7 Eleven during its early years. They have consistently focus on their core brand, namely the burgers and less they try to change their menu to be more localized.

Over the years they’ve try to come up with their signature burgers not event sold in the US, and it is only sold for this country. With the Whattabox Meal set it has become part of their menu since in the mid-2000s. It a burger paired with fries, nuggets, Frosty (soft-served in a cup), and a soda as the setup for the meal.

Wendy's Greenbelt | Slow but Good Service

The dine-in experience is quite different when you’ve been stuck ordering online, and not having the human interaction that has slowly settled in for most people that have gotten used to having their meal in the close confines of their homes. It’s not the same for those who would cherish seeing random individuals entering the restaurant.

With Wendy’s in Greenbelt, they’ve been busy especially on a Friday night. There are other food establishments nearby, but nothing like an American burger joint to have the usual dine-in experience before going around the shopping centre. Personally, it’s rare to have dinner out though this is just another rare occasion to appreciate the opportunity that presented since it’s been a while having a good meal.

Wendy's Philippines | Big Macaroni Salad

There have been many local food establishments in the Philippines, and only a very small percentage served vegetable-related menu items. Anywhere to go most that served western cultured dish don’t even have ‘greens’ in them when you compared to countries like Australia or Singapore they truly are a health conscious nation.

The price increase on goods is understandable, and you get what you pay for with benefits on both sides that never happen in this country for a lot of reason why health is not taken seriously. Wendy’s is known to have been carrying salads and other ‘greens’ despite not have veggie sandwiches that other competitors have served.

Wendy's Burgers, Fries... And Salads!

01.10.2014 – Wendy’s is rarely in the picture when you talk about eating fast food. It’s because they are putting value in what you eat.

From their fries, burgers, and other things that the big two (Jollibee and McDonald’s) don’t serve the red haired girl in the logo has figured to stand out.

If you’re a typical consumer who just goes eat anywhere then maybe you can put a little bit value on what you devoured on a daily basis.

Wendy’s may not attract the Filipino masses because ‘this will do’ mentality is not the answer to everyday eats just because of value for money.
