Wendy’s is the third most popular fast food restaurant in the US, and it has been in the Philippines since the mid-1980s as the franchise used to be owned together with 7 Eleven during its early years. They have consistently focus on their core brand, namely the burgers and less they try to change their menu to be more localized.
Over the years they’ve try to come up with their signature burgers not event sold in the US, and it is only sold for this country. With the Whattabox Meal set it has become part of their menu since in the mid-2000s. It a burger paired with fries, nuggets, Frosty (soft-served in a cup), and a soda as the setup for the meal. |
The Wendy’s Whattabox set can be compared to Burger King’s discontinued BK Stunner with a similar set of a burger with the way the latter was put together. It is only in the Philippines the BK Stunner was discontinued.
With the Whattabox set it’s essentially served for lunch and dinner, which depends if you want a Bacon Mushroom Melt, Dave Singles, Baconator or a one piece chicken, which is the only rice meal that’s part of this set.
Whatta Dinner
It was late in the evening and the Wendy’s in Greenbelt can only serve burgers, since its a few minutes before closing time. It was just right timing that they still served a Whattabox meal and usually the most affordable set comes with a Bacon Mushroom Melt, and it is Wendy’s best basic burgers.
The set is composed of fries and a handful of nuggets as well as a soft served in a cup that also includes a soda. The other Whattabox set is the same with the exception of the one piece chicken. The only difference with the set that have a burger is the different offerings of their famed sandwiches.
Whatta Night
There’s nothing much to say about Wendy’s Bacon Mushroom Melt as it is popular not even available in the US. It is one of their basic burgers, and it was perfect to be include in the Whattabox set.
Usually, this is considered a heavy meal, but the BMM is a small sandwich that’s having one is good enough to fill up your dinner. The various burgers at Wendy’s can be easily identified due to the price point and serving.
Overall the Whattabox set featuring the Bacon Mushroom Melt is just about right for dinners and lunches. It is also affordable to have if you’re not into heavy eating, and it is worth the money to try having one.
