Big Time Meals | Baked Chicken

There are more ways to cook a chicken, and the best will always going to be the fried version. But Baked Chicken is rarely seen in a menu let alone sold as a frozen meal that’s quite inviting your curiosity for a budge product you’d be interested to try and have that particular experience because it sounded new and rarely noticed.

7 Eleven certainly had this product for quite a while, and it is usually underappreciated not being fried but baked. There’ another version of a baked chicken, but this quite the minimalist meal you’ll probably ever have. It is quite a Big Time Meal and despite being overlooked at the freezer section of the store.

Just like any of the Big Time Meals, the Baked Chicken can be seen sitting with the Pork Barbecue at the freezer section of 7 Eleven. It is one of the underrated lunch meals you’ll find that is usually a ‘shelf warmer’ because it rarely moves out compared to its other Big Time Meals siblings.

Packed in the usual black microwavable tray, the Baked Chicken is packed with steamed rice that’s easily to be heated up with your microwave oven. Similar to its other products carrying the Big Time Meals, it is a simple and yet ready-to-heat kind to fill up your tummy with this quick lunch.

Skinny Chicken Kind

On product photo of the Baked Chicken, the white meat appears muscular that completes with Mag Inasal’s chicken, but turns out not everything is taken seriously with face value when it comes to the product. It does look like a mean Baked Chicken that invites you to try one and have that experience.

As they say, image is not everything you see and can only look good on paper. But despite not that muscular white meat it still a good meal to have, since you rarely see it being available due to the last one to leave the freezer shelves as a good meal option. They did not went too cheap on this one, but just right on the portions.

Baked Tasting Good

Once you pull it out of the microwave all the juices had come out of the meal, and it definitely looks good. But the question is, if this one’s that good as the image on the plastic cover? Definitely, this one served well to give you an underrated meal with a good meal to pass the day. But not enough to make have more rice with it.

The texture looks like being charbroiled, but you can see on the juice after being heated had all came out and it’s not a dry chicken. This one was a certainly a good baked meal which is rarely offered in any local food establishment. It served well, though not as satisfying as you’d hope for and yet it is still done right.

Overall the rice is good but not enough to compliment the Baked Chicken. You still need a second serving. But like anyone who have tried this for the first time it’s heaps good to have, but a repeat, quite not the experience to have it all the time. Sparingly it is good to have once in a while.

  • Food Quality: 4 out of 5
  • Affordability: B+
  • Overall: Rice was good, Chicken is not Beefy
