Chef Creations | Lechon Paksiw

There’s nothing like Filipino-style cooking, which has a rich culture founded in the country creating something original like all thing ‘Paksiw.’ In terms of the word, most of the dish were ‘cooked and simmer in vinegar’ with so many variation. Lechon Paksiw comes to mind for having leftover roasted pig becoming a Lechon Paksiw.

Like all the budget meals, 7 Eleven has created to become their frozen meal product has been a sure-fire seller.

Another collaboration with Rico’s Lechon certainly made the convenient store the go to place to look for home cooking without the need to actually cook by just heating them up in the microwave gives them serious props!

The Chef Creations brand is hardly seen in most 7 Eleven stores because they are always sold out. Most of the time you’ll only find the Lechon Dinuguan that was in collaboration with Rico’s Lechon, but then again you might haven’t tried or tasted their Lechon Paksiw because it was rarely seen on their shelf.

There is always a chance to find one either they just put it up after it was delivered or have refreshed their shelf before lunch. Sometimes the 7 Eleven Store nearby would be quite a surprise to have something new while the regular stuff is not available. Either way, expected the unexpected to find the Lechon Paksiw sitting there in the shelf waiting to be taken home.

Collaboration of Goodness

If the Dinuguan was quite a good meal, then you must try the Lechon Paksiw that is definitely having a choice of another product 7 Eleven collaborated with Cebu’s finest restaurant. The usual set up and packaging almost mirrors with the Dinuguan, but this one was subtle product promoting Lechon.

When you slide the product from the cardboard cover you see packed and well-prepared rice and Lechon Paksiw frozen in their tray. The vacuum sealed plastic cover made sure the product doesn’t spill over the other as how they really put care in making sure when you heat it up you’ll have a good experience.

Rico's Best Paksiw

This would be considered a winner already when you see the name of Rico’s Lechon, since they’ve built their name in serving best tasting dishes. It’s definitely hands down when you try their take on budget meal version of a Lechon Paksiw, and keeping the quality up there it is considered and recommended.

You can never go wrong having a Lechon Paksiw and run out of rice, because the meal is not enough to appreciate it. The price is worth the admission that for a frozen meal downgraded to a budget product this sure would sacrifice a lot for the quality. But in the end, they really made sure to keep you wanting for more.

Overall there’s nothing to say bad about having a Lechon Paksiw, only to feel bad if you haven’t found one in your local 7 Eleven Store. It’s something rare to have whenever you look for your next meal. You may not be able to dine-in at Rico’s Lechon, but they made sure to take home a piece of them for you to appreciate how good to have it in the confines of your dining table.

  • Food Quality: 5 out of 5
  • Affordability: A+
  • Overall: You may need Extra Rice for this.
