Makati Street Meet | Odds & Ends Sunday
For this Sunday’s Makati Street Meet it is about “Odds and Ends” to experience a gastronomic food and other things, which is a fusion of this festive experience for those who want to cap off their Sunday night here at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. This is one of the activities offered in the heart of Makati where most would rather spend their nights in a restaurant or just hanging out inside the mall.
Now they’re pushing to get the outdoor experience having a mix of different flavors at the same time getting entrained with different vibes of sound. The experience would be all too familiar personally from the first time they held the Makati Street Meet and yet they (the organizers) are trying different themes to mix it up. But no matter the difference in food sellers or artists performing the same ambient experience will stay the same.
It is unlike anywhere outside the Philippines when it comes to weekend markets where you meet new faces and see things differently. But having lived in an urban setting the organic life is different from the concrete nature of things. But the concept of fiesta with a night market vibe is still alive as you see in the images that you may have missed last night.
It’s certainly an experience for city dwellers to have another weekend market held in the city this time for non-morning individuals who have spent partying the night before that is Saturday. The weekend never stops in Makati with their Street Meet. Surely, there are other cities organizing their version of this night market but Makati closing down a portion of one part of the main street that usually is the busiest part of Ayala Triangle Gardens.
Big J and Mango Float Supreme
The chosen dinner is from Kuya J which was the most crowed stall there offering as what they claim size portions of menu. I got to choose Veggie with Fries that they also claim to be “unlimited fries” but turns out they’ve kind of scrimp on that part where they would rather serve you more rice than chips. The product sample would entice you but for that price it is sure winner if you have rice instead.
But the best offering so far is from Mango Float Supreme Manila that serves up natural flavors as they make your drink in front of you. There was a long line right there. They’re not the usual fast food restaurant that serves a float drink that have 80% percent of ice out of %20% percent liquid.
