Nestlé Milo | Breakfast Cereal Bar

Nestle’s Milo is known as chocolate energy drink and recently expanded to breakfast cereals that are available at local groceries in the Philippines. In other countries the product expanded also as an Energy Breakfast Cereal Bar. Recently, there have been chocolate nuggets becoming available but there was no Cereal Bar more focused on the morning drink.

In Western countries Milo is not limited to just merely a morning drink or a breakfast cereal. But other products with the mentioned Cereal Breakfast Bar, which have started being available in Manila through selected 7 eleven stores. There’s no trace of these Breakfast Cereal Bars in local groceries, but for those who haven’t had one here’s a closer look at what it looks like.

Nestlé in Australia had the MILO Energy Snack Bar has been widely available at Coles and Woolworth’s Supermarkets. They’re the alternative if you haven’t had time to prepare a breakfast cereal or the usual Milo drink in the morning. It’s considered an energy bar too if you’re on the go to job before sunrise as your daily snack first thing in the day or if you’re on a strict diet.

The one being sold exclusively at selected 7 eleven stores in Manila is a little shorter to the ones being sold in Australia. It is definitely something to grab in the morning before going to work. These were acquired at the 7 eleven store near the LRT Gil Puyat (Formerly Buendia) Station. So far I haven’t see other stores in the vicinity of Makati selling these but the place as mentioned.

It’s crispy and crunchy with milky taste selling for PHP 25.00 Pesos ($ 0.48 USD | $ 0.68 AUD) each, which for most consumers would not come that cheap. The Milo Nuggets that has been sold at local groceries for PHP 22.00 Pesos ($ 0.43 USD | $ 0.60 AUD) each, but the Breakfast Bar has more protein to go through the day than chowing down little chocolate cubes.

This might be a limited time only release, but hopefully Nestle Philippines would not just make this a limited product available only at 7 eleven.

The Milo brand should not be just about the energy drink it should expand further and having the protein bar living Down Under was something I kind of miss having every day as one of the snacks I pack so make it happen Nestle Philippines.
