01.31.2018 – There’s a Chicken Big Mac a few weeks back that was something different from the usual McClassic sandwich and then there’s Chicken n’ Cheese as a loose change offer for a quick bite post-lunch hours passing through the city on a Tuesday afternoon just roaming around Adelaide.
It must be a habit to pass by the Hindley Street Maccas store during the past weeks for those not in the know there are four branches scattered through the city it just so happens that the closest branch is a stone throw away from Rundle Mall. As the summer heats up there’s nothing like a rush of hunger pangs when they start offering a Chicken n’ Cheese sandwich that pairs up with chips and a tall Freeze. |
January 2018 is almost done and there’s nothing like a quick walkabout in the city of Adelaide where you seem not to notice the time when it’s time to feast. The afternoon seemed to be quite the normal golden sun shining in the urban area of South Australia. It’s these days that the dry months have arrive full swing and there you are losing your mind due to the heat.
Well, the best time for a late munch down at the McDonald’s along Hindley was just about right. Though I’ve been at Rundle Mall hanging out nearby there two Maccas stores, but they are bit off the radar as one in the basement of Myer’s while the other will take me far down the end of Rundle Mall, which is at the border where you can find Rundle Street. Surely, you’re lost with this conversation if you’re not from this country or state just babbling seemed to be nonsense when you’re hungry already.
Chicken and Cheesing it
There’s a “Loose Change” a la carte offers from Maccas that some countries don’t have that includes the Philippines. These offers cost less than $5.00 AUD for the reason they are ‘loose change’ that means cheap treats that you pay with your coins but converting them in Philippine peso they’re cost more.
But the Chicken n’ Cheese was a delight a Cheeseburger without the burger patty replaced by a chicken patty or what you call a low-fi version of the McChicken with less drama and ITS WAY BETTER than your below average Burger McDo that only have the essential ingredients not some salad dressing in it.
Freeze it with Fries
Beside the $3.50 AUD Chicken N’ Cheese a la carte from their ‘loose change’ menu you got a tall Freeze Raspberry flavoured drink to wash it down along with a bursting golden fries that seemed to be a regular packed in a small fries packet. It does look like the fries are in abundance not weighed or counted they just packed those delectable sticks in a small paper bag talk about size portions.
Who could not resist having an afternoon snacked that was actually lunch already. There’s nothing like having a Maccas meal to round up your day around the city. The tall Freeze Raspberry was oozing will coolness not and you thought its 22 oz. but for $1.00 AUD that’s not large it’s really tall not stingy.
Overall goodness for less than seven bucks was quite a McSaver if you call it that but a ‘loose change’ offer there’s a lot of coins for me to spend and it’s the Chicken n’ Cheese was the highlight of this meal and just spending the early afternoon at Hindley Street was a delectable delight alright.
