Maccas | Chicken Big Mac

01.21.2018 – There are a variety of burgers McDonald’s have ever produced. Some are experimental and then there are localize versions of the product. Good, bad or sometimes terribly trying to be part of McDonald’s but let’s not mince meat on the not-so interesting ones but those that really work for the company and its brand that looks interesting from a foreigner’s perspective. Enter: Chicken Big Mac, the one and only limited time offer to McDonald’s Australia has landed. Yes, the Big Mac gets reinvented with Chicken instead of Burger meat patties. It’s like the McChicken that became a Big Mac minus the sloppy mayonnaise that comes with it and it’s entirely something new.

The iconic Big Mac has been part of every McDonald’s all over the globe save for countries that cater minus the beef or meat this is due to the culture and religion. But nonetheless, the Chicken Big Mac is something of a fresh take to its regular product that was never the same that was re-marketed as “new and improve” but a fresh take on the same product with a different ingredient.

This is how McDonald’s in other countries continue to be experimental and just tweaking the menu to find out if customer’s will like it or not for the reason why it’s a limited time offer, which to find out if the majority of people would appreciate it or not. I’ve seen being offered last year but never got the chance to try it but yesterday I had the opportunity to be keen about it.



McChicken + Big Mac = Chicken Big Mac

You’ll never know if you it really works without taking a little risk. Maccas certainly have offered this twice and it’s not your usual McChicken and this is your version of a Big Mac minus the burger meat patties. It’s well prepared and never rushed that didn’t appear to be sloppy like some McDonald’s store in another country and the box is noticeable difference from the standard Big Mac.

From the packaging and presentation of the Chicken Big Mac you’re paying premium quality for less. The meal cost around $12 to 13 Australian dollars and it might look like too much when you convert it in another currency. But the point is that wages in another country is different from where I’ve dined in, which would not worry to convert how much I spent on this as for average Aussie its really cheap.





Chicken in a Mac

Though it may look like the size portion is a bit bigger without side-by-side comparison to a local Big Mac in the Philippines there is just slight different in how its appearance. Taking a bite at it is like having a two McChickens minus the grease of the mayo that was used just quite a bit right.

It may appear dry in the photos but the actual Chicken Big Mac looks glorious when you have experience having it. Certainly, you’ll be lovin’ it for real just the way the slogan they promote globally in different languages. The Chicken was prepared right and the mayonnaise was applied just a tad right. It may not be perfect but the one I got was prepared not in a rush, which really is nice to know not everything is served in a hurry all the time like in some countries.





That Fries was truly on a Rise

The chips though… I mean the fries were just right too. Golden as the way it was and not like it died in the friar for a long time. There are small fries and then there are ‘regular’ size fries that came paired up with the Chicken Big Mac and its still getting used to the standard served at this Maccas branch.

Entirely the meal was just chill with a Freeze to cool everything down as a regular option without to pay extra unlike in some Asian country that is a way bit stingy. But the overall story is all about the Chicken Big Mac how good is that? Well I can’t describe it entirely but imagine a well-prepared Chicken Sandwich in the form of a Big Mac which will depend also the ingredients that come with it.



Overall it’s a different kind of Big Mac with a Chicken flavor that doesn’t need expectation, but the process of how it was prepared was top notch not rushed that was put together the right way. I’m willing to wait five minutes but they served it less than that and was not overdone that includes the large fries and a Strawberry Freeze so grab it while you can for a limited time mates!
