06.24.2012 – Jamba Juice opened its third branch with a healthy advocacy expanding their presence in the country and supporting the Provincial Government of Guimaras for the research and development of Philippine Mangoes.
Having brought their smoothie goodness opening in their very first store at The Bonifacio High Street in late 2011. This followed by a second branch at the Ayala Alabang Town Center early this year, Jamba Juice is committed to bringing delectable and healthy conscious smoothies, fresh-squeezed juices, and better-for-you snacks locations. |
“Chooosing strategic locations, that are convenient to our consumers, has always been one of the integral facets that we consider when choosing the best locations for expansion,” says Sharon T. Fuentebella, Managing Director of Jamba Juices Master Franchisee in the Philippines.
The Gimme’ five campaign first introduced when they opened their second store in Ayala Alabang Town Center (ATC) where customers who ride the in-store Blender Bike for five minutes, gets to donate one mango seedling which will be planted in the Guimaras Mango Park. The mango campaign was made possible through a partnership with the Bureau of Plant Industry – Guimaras National Mango Research and Development Center (BPI-GNMMRDC).
During his recent visit, Jamba Juice President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. James D. White, embraced the campaign as a meaningful way to raise awareness of local sustainability initiatives.
Fuentebella adds that the local team is excited about raising awareness of the Guimaras Mango, as it also highlights Guimaras as a tourist destination where the best mangoes are grown.
“The Philippines is already known for growing some of the best tropical fruits the world has ever tasted, and Jamba Juice uses highest quality of fruits from different countries, including bananas sourced in the Philippines,” add Fuentebella. “We are hoping to extend this commitment to quality and freshness by promoting and using our very own Guimaras mangoes in blending of our delectable smoothies.”
The program was hosted by Basketball TV and Magic 89.9 FM radio DJ Riki Flores and had a small presentation for the press media in front of the huge crowd at the SM Mall of Asia.
“Our hope is that locally grown Guimaras Mangoes will one day play a larger role in Jamba’s smoothie menu,” says Mark Gamboa, Marketing Director of Jamaba Juice in the Philippines who was present speaking in the front of the guests. “In the meantime, promoting the planting of trees with ride on Blender Bike is our way of engaging our customers in this campaign to support the local industry.”
Jamba Juice’s presence in the Philippines is set to expand to 37 more locations within the next 10 years.
