During the first visit to the only 7-Eleven store in Baganga, Davao Oriental there’s no actual difference in the product they carry until you notice the difference if you are a frequent shopper of 7-Eleven. Usually, the idea of visiting a 7-Eleven store in a regional area means they might carry a Slurpee product on their menu.
Unfortunately, that seems to be not the case for a 7-Eleven located in a very remote part of Davao Oriental to even have a Slurpee. But some products are arguably familiar at the same time different in appearance. One example of that is the Chef Creations’ Bicol Express which seems to be in a different tray that can be immediately spotted if you have had the experience of having one like the previous time it was featured on this page.
Straightforward Flat Tray
The “Bicol Express” sold in Metro Manila does not come in a flat black tray but in a sort of round shape that can’t be described. In the past, when the Chef Creations by Claude Tayag was introduced and became available at all 7-Eleven stores, it came with a weird round shape storage with the bottom of it revealing how the Bicol Express viand appeared to be less than the rice that came with.
But the one sold in 7-Eleven Baganga comes with a flat black tray, which for some odd reason is the only Chef Creations by Claude Tayag that ever to make it to a regional branch of 7-Eleven. If the other dishes that Claude Tayag made it to this regional province of Davao Oriental it would be the same weird round shape tray uniformed with the other dishes, and for some reason this makes sense.
Bicol Expressive Meal/b>
The change in packaging could be a marketing strategy as the consumers in regional areas have different opinions if they see a weirdly round shape that stores the Bicol Express meal. But the advantage as always with a straightforward flat black tray is you get to see the food filled up and not have an underwhelming expectation that it does not feel like it is worth buying due to weirdly shaped packaging.
The Bicol Express is frozen up as you do not see the sauce, and the rice is enough to match with the viand. There is something you can see clearly with the product if they are not packaged in an odd-shaped container, and you don’t feel cheated for paying something and yet it is not enough to satisfy your lunch needs.
Overall, the Bicol Express is still a superbly popular dish from the Chef Creations range. But what makes it more intriguing and at the same time liking it more is the straightforward packaging for this product which is only found in regional provinces in the Philippines and that makes it even more coveted when you travel to places 7-Eleven might have that are different sold in Metro Manila.
