When you order a McChicken meal a customer has the option to request which chicken part they wanted, which depends if that part is available. But most people would go for the thigh part that is rarely granted due to the availability and if they have enough for everyone during that day.
The new rebranding of the packaging had an upgrade late in 2021 to early 2022 with simplifying graphic for the McChicken and other meals that are stored in a cardboard box. There’s no other information on the box other than it has a tab to identify if it’s a McChicken of a McSpaghetti.
Adult Teether Cover Lid
The banning of plastic straws and other related products in selected cities in Metro Manila is a little bit confusing sometimes. With Makati City ordinance, they have given the food establishments warning in using plastic straws and utensils. Some selected 7 Eleven stores are still offering spoon & fork with a paper napkin packed in a plastic while others are only offering plastic gloves.
With McDonald’s since they have drinks offered in a cup for dine-in customers they served them without a plastic lid or previously offering paper straws. It’s surprising how they have found a way to introduce the teether lid that usually is serve as cover lid drinks for children in some countries.
It’s been a long time to see this being used as a lid that has a built-in protruding plastic where you can drink without removing the lid. Technically it’s an adult’s version of a teether cup.
Meatier McChicken
Sometimes you’re fortunate to get the best chicken part and sometimes you don’t if you luck out getting the not-so meaty ones. It all depends on the chicken that you receive if it’s actually cooked better than the rest. Mostly, some chickens are not cooked thoroughly, since they are put in a batch and not all gets fried properly.
The concerning part was the gravy, which is common as you gotta to understand that the only dip they offer is this. Unlike in other countries a gravy is not the only dip being offered at McDonald’s. But the way it looks like being a stingy way to dictate to Filipinos that it is the only dip served better unless you get to have McDonald’s outside the Philippines this is their dip.
Overall the most favourite Filipino cuisine that’s quite rare, which also need the required sauce or dip to have that good pork belly experience. Without these suggested options it may end up being a letdown dry dish you highly hoped to have the best experience that needs to have their sauces included permanently not optional.
- Food Quality: 3 out of 5
- Affordability: B+
- Overall: The Rice has no match for the meaty chicken.
- Customer Service: Still Trying to Pretend they did not hear you for 'No Ice' on your drink.
