The event was packed with both online and traditional media waiting for the arrival of the two endorsers. The program was opened to the introduction by Magic 89.9 FM's Sam YG, and we assume Shivaker might be in the same place.
The venue was at the 14th floor of the Intercontinental Holel in Makati City. It was the most festive happening on a Thursday night as everyone had a hearty meal in sampling the Century Tuna products.
Twenty-three-year-old Filipino-British Phillip James Placer Younghusband rose to fame as a member of the Philippine Azkals, the country’s national football team, where he plays as a forward. Phil started kicking a ball as early as three years old and grew up watching football games on TV in his hometown of Ashford, Middlesex, England, where he was born.
His love for the sport continued until in his teens and focused on making it into the professional league. Along with brother James, Phil became part of the reserve squad of the Chelsea Football Club in England before being tapped by the Philippine Football Federation to play for the national team in 2005.
His move became official in 2008 and since last year, has been frontlining the now popular Philippine Azkals.
The rising career of Phil and the rest of the Azkals elevated and continue to bring acclaim to the Philippines in the sport of football. Recently, the Azkals defeated the Sri Lankan Brave Reds team in the qualifying match for the World Cup.
Phil’s positive image among the youth and fitness enthusiasts perfectly represents what Century Tuna is all about.
